Section 8:
Employee Affairs

8.1.0	General
8.1.1	The PKFZ Management shall need to record the names of a Licensee's staff that are authorised to sign Entry Permits and other administrative correspondences in connection with the company's operations. The names shall be recorded on a "Certificate of Authorisation" to be lodged with the Free Zone Administration.
8.1.2	There are certain travel documents and passports which are not acceptable for entry into Malaysia. Prior to applying for a visa, clarification on such restrictions shall be obtained through the Free Zone's Administration Department.
8.1.3	Working hours for employees will be 8 hours per day or not more than 48 hours in one week and a break for thirty minutes of every 5 consecutives hours (as per Malaysian Labour Law).
8.1.4	Employees are entitled to a minimum 10 gazetted Public Holidays in one calendar year for the Private Sector in Malaysia. There are four compulsory holidays such as National Day, Agong's Birthday, State Ruler's Birthday and Labour Day. If any of the said 10 gazetted holidays falls on a rest day, the working day following immediately thereafter shall be a paid holiday in substitution therefore.
8.1.5	All persons entering Malaysia must possess valid national passports or other internationally-recognized travel documents valid for travel to Malaysia . These documents must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry into Malaysia. Those with passports not recognized by Malaysia must apply for a document in lieu of the passport as well as a visa issued by Malaysian missions abroad. Any person classified under Section 8 of the Immigration Act 1959/63 will not be allowed to enter Malaysia even though he/she is in possession of a valid Passport or travel document, visa, travel ticket and sufficient funds.
