A Machinery Fitness Certificate is required to be issued prior to any company commencing operations in the Free Zone. Application must be made in the first instance to DOSH, Selangor and the Engineering Department of PKFZ. Such Certificates are not required for offices.

Any requirement to add or modify machinery or equipment shall require the client to apply to the Engineering Department of PKFZ for approval. Upon completion and implementation of changes, an inspection will be required and when satisfactory, the Machinery Fitness Certificate will be updated to include the changes. The period of validity shall be from the date the changes were made to the end date of the Machinery Fitness Certificate.

The Machinery Fitness Certificate is required to be renewed annually. Licenses (ZB4) cannot normally be renewed without the availability of a valid Machinery Fitness Certificate. The Engineering Department of PKFZ will monitor the above.

Charges for issuing or renewing a Machinery Fitness Certificate shall be as per the established tariff of the Authority (DOSH).
